FDM Ltd has been awarded the Cyber Essentials security accreditation to add our long line of existing accreditations.
Cyber Essentials is a simple but effective, Government backed scheme that helps to protect organisations, whatever their size, against a whole range of the most common cyber attacks.
Cyber attacks come in many shapes and sizes, but the vast majority are very basic in nature, carried out by relatively unskilled individuals. This new certification gives our existing and future customers peace of mind that our defences will protect against the vast majority of common cyber attacks simply because these attacks are looking for targets which do not have the Cyber Essentials technical controls in place.
The government is taking steps to further reduce the levels of cyber security risk in its supply chain through the Cyber Essentials scheme. The scheme defines a set of controls which, when properly implemented, will provide organisations with basic protection from the most prevalent forms of threat coming from the internet.
The Cyber Essentials scheme was first launched in 2014 and, together with the “10 Steps to Cyber Security”, has become an essential part of the cyber security toolkit.
FDM Ltd takes cyber security and the security of our clients data extremely seriously and over the last few years have achieved several security based accreditations including ISO27001 and IG Toolkit Level 2 along with our HSCN connection, upgraded servers and Firewalls and Malware protection to ensure that our systems and infrastructure are as secure as possible.
